An illustrated educational guide written, designed, and illustrated as part of an undergraduate project. The brief asked for an investigation into the craft and making of an everyday object. I picked the bra, a structurally complex but rarely examined object, as my starting point.

The resulting book deconstructs how a bra is made: starting from the wire, to the fibres that make the fabric, the metal of the hooks, and finally the soft foam for the cups. But rather than a technical manual, the guide is structured as a conversation between a mother and daughter — a format that keeps the information accessible without talking down to its reader. The illustrations carry most of the explanatory weight, with diagrams, process sequences, and annotated spreads sitting alongside the narrative.
