Sixteen animated explainer modules produced across two commissions for the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning, in collaboration with FIELD, a Learning Experience Design Studio.

The first course (2024) covered Media and Information Literacy across 8 modules. The second (2025) addressed AI in Education, also across 8 modules. Both required a consistent visual language that could remain engaging across multiple sittings, communicate complex ideas accessibly, and work for an internationally diverse adult learner audience.

Each module opens a chapter of a self-paced course for adult educators — the animation functions as both entry point and orientation, setting tone and framing the concepts before the learning content begins.

The project began with a brief and scripts from FIELD, which I translated into storyboards before then moving into character and asset design.

Working within a unified visual system across 16 videos required building a flexible asset library early — characters, environments, and graphic elements designed to recombine across different conceptual territory without visual fatigue.

The animation style balances warmth with clarity. The visuals are character-driven enough to hold attention, while graphic enough to keep the focus on the ideas being communicated.
